I started learning Spanish at secondary school at the age of 11 and have been passionate about the language and culture ever since. I went on to study Spanish at university and have worked with Spanish throughout most of my career.

I have worked in Madrid on two separate occasions. On the first occasion I worked for an import/export company and on the second I worked for a computer services company. I have also worked for Mexican and Chilean organisations in the UK in which I was able to use my language skills.

Having gained many years of industry experience in the field of Finance, I specialise in Financial and Business Translations. However, I also translate in a variety of other subject areas. I enjoy attention to detail and research, which are important aspects of the job of a translator. I am also organised and am used to working to deadlines.

I also offer private tuition services to both adults and children at various levels. I enjoy working with people, either in groups or on an individual basis. Watching students progress in their language knowledge and skills is very rewarding for me as a tutor.
