Essentially Spanish

As I studied Business Management at university and have 16 years’ experience in the field of Finance, my specialised areas of translation are Finance and Business. I have a depth of financial research experience, including 7 years’ managerial experience.

I used my Spanish for many years in a financial research/software company in London, which specialised in Capital Markets. My most recent role at this firm was as Global Loans Research Manager, where accuracy and an eye for detail were an essential part of my job. I also held the role of Research Manager at a private equity/venture capital research company. Prior to this I worked for a Mexican bank in the City for two years. This gave me a better insight into the Mexican form of Spanish.

Recently I have worked for an independent financial adviser and passed my 'Certificate in Financial Administration' through the Chartered Insurance Institute. This has given me a broader knowledge of the financial services industry.I have also passed the Business Unit of the CIoL’s Diploma in Translation exam.

Some of the documents I have translated to date include: bank statements, accounts, contracts, auditor’s reports, insurance policy documents, minutes of meetings, employment reference letters and questionnaires. I have also completed two financial translations for the London School of Economics.
