Essentially Spanish

Spanish Tuition

Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. Aside from Spain, it is spoken in nearly every South American and Central American country, not to mention Cuba and the United States.

Many English words are borrowed from the Spanish language including patio, tornado and bonanza.

I teach Spanish lessons privately to both individuals and groups. I teach people of all ages and at various levels.

Based in St Albans, I also teach online lessons via Zoom or Skype.

I have taught adult evening classes at St Albans Girls’ School, several groups of retired students from the University of the Third Age (U3A) and an after-school club at a primary school in Luton.

Whereas the focus of the groups is generally Spanish for holidays or fun, I also tutor students who are working towards GCSE or A-Level exams.

In the lessons we focus on all areas of the language, i.e. speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Some lessons incorporate computer exercises and others include role plays. Group sessions often incorporate pair work.

I am passionate about the Spanish language and culture and that is why I enjoy teaching.

It’s never too late to start learning another language. Why not give Spanish a go?
